With AATIF (Africa Agriculture & Trade Investment Fund), our job was to travel across Kenya to document the various farming practices. We traveled everywhere from the highlands of Mt. Kenya to coastal farms exploring, learning and visually documenting the work that goes into keeping this country fed. Our work with them was incredibly educational and reframed our way of thinking about food production in general. Farmers are the backbone of societies and we learned about their ups, their downs and everything in between. Our main takeaway from this project was how the evolution of farming is changing the face of food production through technology. We encountered some of the most incredible systems and machinery that have revolutionized the entire industry and what’s better is that these practices are becoming even more environmentally sustainable.
